EventHorizon -- Review

Category: Utilities, productivity, calendar, organizer, to-do list
Price: 2.99
App Store Link: [Full] / No Lite Version

Review: Very Useful (Love it)
Recommendation: Worth it. Great organizer/to-do app. Compatible to the $9.99 app "Things"
Ease of Use: Good

Frequency of Use: Multiple times a day

EventHorizon is a productivity utility that functions as a date book and to-do list, easily making itself an afforable alternative to the renowned $9.99 app "Things." In fact, in some ways, EventHorizon is superior to things. For example, the ability to create your own categories and add your own icons to the developer's already thorough library is a wonderful feature of this app.

EventHorizon is simple to use. First, it automatically imports important dates you may have stored in your contacts, such as birthday's and anniversaries (this can be toggled off in settings). Next, any time you wish to add an event or to-do, you simply click the add button and fill in a Calender-style info sheet, and EventHorizon will automatically prioritize, keep track of your dates, and offer you reminders. In fact, the "reminders" tab on the app makes it easy to scroll down and see all of your important tasks by due date and/or catagory.

Overall, EventHorizon is an exceptional productivity app worthy of comparison to much more expensive apps. It's very well organized, easy to use, and extremely customizable. If you're looking for a reasonably priced productivity app, EventHorizon is highly recommended.

What we'd like to see in future updates: A way to "check off" completed events; logging of completed events; easier access to deleting unwanted events; a "smart" past due "catagory" that automatically filters in "past due" items that aren't checked off; 12-hour time display on the event entry page.
